The School of Commerce, XIM University, Odisha organized a National Conference on “Innovation-Driven Commerce in a Complex Business World” to foster dialogue among academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students on the evolving dynamics of modern commerce. The conference aimed to explore how innovation could address emerging business challenges and drive sustainable growth.

The event featured paper presentations, expert talks, and discussions on digital transformation, financial innovation, and entrepreneurial trends. It reflected XIM University’s commitment to promoting research, creativity, and collaboration, strengthening its role as a leading institution shaping the future of commerce and business education in India.

About School of Commerce, XIM University

The School of Commerce, established in 2014 as a constituent of XIM University, Odisha, aims to be a center of excellence in commerce education and leadership development. It offers a range of programs including Ph.D. (Full-time/Part-time), Master of Management Studies in Business Finance (MMS-BF), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) with Accounting and Finance specializations, and Bachelor of Business Management (B.B.M) with Marketing and HR specializations. Adopting the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) as per UGC guidelines, the school designs its curriculum to match evolving industry needs, revising it periodically through expert input from academia and industry.

Guided by the Strategic Academic Advisory Board (SAAB), the school emphasizes innovation, experiential learning, and holistic student development. Call for Papers

The National Conference on “Innovation-Driven Commerce in a Complex Business World”, organized by the School of Commerce, XIM University, Odisha, invites original research papers, conceptual articles, and case studies from academicians, researchers, practitioners, and students. The conference aims to provide a platform for sharing innovative ideas and contemporary perspectives that contribute to the evolving landscape of commerce, business, and management.

Best Paper Award

Outstanding research contributions presented at the conference will be recognized with the Best Paper Award. The selection will be based on originality, research rigor, relevance to the conference theme, and practical implications. Awardees will receive a certificate of excellence and formal recognition during the valedictory session.

Accommodation

Single and double occupancy accommodation will be provided on first-come, first-served basis. Please note that accommodation charges will be additional.

Submission Guidelines for Extended Abstracts

Participants are invited to submit extended abstracts presenting original research contributions aligned with the conference theme. Submissions should adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Length: The extended abstract should not exceed 2,500 words, including tables, figures, and references.
  2. Format:
    • File type: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
    • Font: Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing 1.5, and justified alignment
    • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  3. Structure:
    The extended abstract should be clearly structured and include the following sections:
    • Title: Concise and reflective of the content (font size 14, bold, centered)
    • Author(s) and Affiliation(s): Full name, designation, institution, and email address of all authors. The corresponding author should be clearly indicated.
    • Abstract: A brief overview (150–200 words) summarizing the study.
    • Keywords: 4–6 relevant keywords.

    • Objectives / Research Questions
    • Methodology
    • Results and Discussion
    • Conclusion and Implications
    • References: In APA (7th edition) style.
  4. Originality: Submissions must represent original, unpublished work not under consideration elsewhere. All papers will be checked for plagiarism.
  5. Review Process: All submissions will undergo double-blind peer review. Authors will be notified of acceptance after the review process.
  6. Submission Mode: Extended abstracts should be submitted electronically via the conference submission link or email (to be specified in the brochure).
  7. Presentation Requirement: At least one author of an accepted paper must register and present the work during the conference.
