Accountax Club in association with the Finomoney Club of School of Commerce, organized a discussion on Union Budget 2024-25 on Friday, 2nd of August 2024 at Mini Auditorium, XIM University. Three eminent speakers shared their thoughts on the topic. Fr. S. Antony Raj, sj, Registrar, XIM Univeresity formally inaugurated the event.
The speakers included CA Shreya Hans, Sri Soumya Ranjan Sahoo, and Sri Nageswar Pattanaik. Ms Shreya Hans highlighted on 2024 budget’s tax reforms and their implications for individual taxpayers. Sri Soumya Ranjan Sahoo offered insights into how the budget would affect small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the new opportunities available to these businesses. Sri Nageswar Pattanaik, an economist, highlighted the budget’s emphasis on infrastructure development and its role in driving economic growth.
